Why Chris Sharma loves TRUBLUE
This represents a radical change for climbing walls as it turns them not only into sports venues but also into places focused on socialization and interaction in real time, on the wall, simultaneously, in full action. For owners, that translates into more customers and a greater diversity of customer types.
TRUBLUE is the most tested and used auto-belay device in the world.
Head Rush Technologies bears a heavy responsibility as the world’s leading manufacturer of self-belay devices and they test their products to the most stringent standards.
TRUBLUE has approximately one billion descents a year worldwide making it the most proven auto-belay device on the market.
Meets the strictest safety standards.
EN341:2011 is the CE standard for Personal Protective Equipment against falls from a height – Descender Devices.
EN360:2002 is the CE standard for personal protective equipment against falls from a height: retractable type fall arrest devices.
TÜV SÜD tested TRUBLUE devices to 10x Class A, as recently required for all self-belay devices. TRUBLUE was the first auto-belay device to meet this standard and paved the way for meeting more stringent requirements.
TRUBLUE is also certified to meet the requirements of EN360:2002. This means that the device is designed and certified for shock loads.
TRUBLUE auto-belay devices have completed over a billion ascents a year, are used on 6 continents and in more than 60 countries around the world, making them the most widely used and trusted auto-belay devices in the world. planet.
How do we know we are the most trustworthy?
The world’s largest gym builders trust TRUBLUE over competitive products. Also the best centers, climbing gyms in the world, camps, trampoline parks and amusement parks in the world and the busiest know that our product is the best and trust it every day.
The technology that TRUBLUE uses is its most appreciated asset
Magnetic braking eliminates parts rubbing against each other in the braking process which could eventually wear out and create a risk of failure like friction braking. With our magnetic braking technology, we are confident that our product will stand the test of time.
TRUBLUE offers a true adventure experience
TRUBLUE’s TRU CLIMB™ technology is designed to offer the most “true” feeling of climbing to users in the auto-belay industry.
The climber feels the presence of the device in his harness only when he needs it during the fall or descent.
Our TRUBLUE SPEED is designed to handle the speeds of the world’s fastest climbers.
Magnetic eddy current braking provides reliable, smooth and consistent descent, cycle after cycle. This is unlike friction braking devices which experience brake fade and can become unusable when wet or increase descent speed during heavy use. The patented self-regulating design allows for a smooth and similar descent regardless of user weight. A child or a weight lifter will have the same experience.
Catch-and-Hold of TRUBLUE IQ+
1. Before climbing, evaluate your harness. He makes sure he's double backed and ready to climb. He unhooks the safety gate strap and secures it in its safety loop. Pull down on some of the self-locking straps checking that the straps retract. He doesn't go up if the strap doesn't retract. Finally double check that the carabiner gate is locked.
2. Tap the TRUBLUE button near the starting holds to activate Catch-and-Hold belay. He will notice a flashing blue light. This means Catch-and-Hold mode is ready. If not activated, TRUBLUE iQ+ works as a normal auto-belay.
3. During your ascent, if you fall down, Catch-and-Hold will activate. Look down at the power button, and the light will be solid blue while you hold it, then it will begin to flash rapidly when the time is running out. The climbing center can program each auto-belay to hold the climber for 15, 20 or 30 seconds.
4. Continuing to climb at any time before the device is released will restart Catch-and-Hold mode. The climber can do this - fall, hang and resume climbing - an unlimited number of times as long as the hanging time does not exceed the preset time programmed by the climbing center. If he wishes to drop to the ground, simply wait for Catch-and-Hold to release.
5. Upon reaching the top of the route, drop the wall and the Catch-and-Hold will hold you in place until the timer runs out or press the touch-sensitive off button to drop down immediately.
